Day 1: sai gon arrival

Take a flight to Sai Gon. Welcome at the airport and check-in at the hotel. Free at your leisure. Overnight in Sai Gon.


Leaving Saigon we drive through pleasant countryside before arriving at Cu Chi. Before entering the tunnels we watch a short introductory video showing how the tunnels were constructed. We then spend the next hour exploring the maze of tunnels. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500 pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers. We then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City arriving at approximately 1pm.

After having lunch, we continue our day by walking through the busy city to visit Unification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Post Office, War Remnant Museum and Ben Thanh market Overnight in Saigon (B, L)


Pick up and drive 02 hours to Ben Tre province. On arrival, take a boat on Ben Tre River – one of tributaries of Mekong River, sightseeing lively activities along river. Stop at local brick kilns to see how to make bricks in handy traditional style. Continue going through palm tree- lined canals and visit one of coconut-processing workshops located along canal. It is a chance to interact with local people to know more about rural life and enjoy some candies, coconut juice. Take a short walk to family workshop where they make traditional mats and enjoy some fruits and tea.

Take a motor cart or cycle riding on shady road, pass by green fields and vegetable plantation and find out about tropical culture from peasants. Lunch at “Coconut riverside “Restaurant with specialties such as: Elephant- ear Fish, spring rolls… After lunch, take rowing boats along water palm creek back to pier and driving to Can Tho City. Overnight in Can Tho (B, L, D)

Day 4: CAN THO – HA NOI (flight)

We leave the hotel, board a motor boat along the Mighty Mekong River to Cai Rang floating market, the largest of its kind, where a colorful display of boats carrying juicy fruits and vegetables gather for daily exchanging. Then we continue the cruise & walk on a quiet country road to take in the magnificent scenery and get close to the locals as they go about their daily routine. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Ha Noi. On arrival, meet our guide and drive to the downtown. Check in hotel and take a rest. Overnight in Hanoi (B)


Get pick-up for a city tour which is split into a morning and afternoon schedule, with a tasty lunch in between. We start to visit:

Ho Chi Minh Complex: Completed in 1975, the complex includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, House-on-Stilts, and the Ho Chi Minh Museum.

The Temple of Literature: Originally built as a temple to Confucius, this is the site of Vietnam’s first University dating back to 1070. Inside are the stone steles mounted on the backs of turtles, inscribed with names of Vietnam best scholars.

Museum of Ethnology: This museum is widely acknowledged as the best in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam’s 54 Ethnic minority peoples.

Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake: The Ngoc Son temple is set on a tiny island on the Hoan KiemLake, its history dating back to the 13th century. The temple is reached by crossing the The Huc Bridge which literally means the ‘Place Touched by Morning Sunbeams’. The Hoan Kiem Lake is the local point of the city and the source of many legends.

One hour Cyclo Tour through the Old Quarter: Also known as the 36 streets, this bustling area of narrow streets is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers.

Day 6: ha noi – van long nATURE RESERVE – PHAT DIEM STONE – LAO CAI

At 08:30 leave Ha Noi for Van Long natural reserve. Upon arrival, we will have a sampan boat trip to discover the amazing scenery of this natural reserve. Continue onto Ninh Binh town with stop for lunch at a local restaurant.

Drive to Phat Diem. The Phat Diem Stone Cathedral is an extremely artistic, cultural and religious work of Luu Phuong commune, Kim Son district. The site is not only a harmonious combination between the architecture of Asian pagodas and European church but also shows skillful techniques of Vietnamese artisans since the 19th century (1875-1899). You can also visit the Kim Son local market which is well known for mats hand making. Drive back to Hanoi and arrive in Ha Noi train station for overnight journey up to Lao Cai. Day 7: Lao Cai – Sapa – Lao Chai – Tavan

Arrive early in Lao cai at 06.00, we get picked up by our private vehicle and guide to start our drive up the spectacular Sapa pass, which is 1300 m high, 33 km long.  The ride uphill takes a little over an hour giving you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces.

At 10.00 we start trekking. The first part is on the road but we soon turn to the right and walk on a small path down the valley to the Muong Hoa River and from here to the Black H’mong village Lao Chai. After this you continue to Ta Van village (1.200 m) to visit Zay people. We stay overnight with a local family in Ta Van and have our dinner here. (B, L, D)

Day 8: Ta van – Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan – SAPa

After the breakfast we continue to visit Red Dao people at Giang Ta Chai where we also see a waterfall. The Red Dao women have very colourful red embroideries and coins on their clothing. On their head they wear a red scarf. Some of the women have shaved off their eyebrows because of a nice Red Zao’ Legend.

We continue along small paths in the rice fields, cross the Muong Hoa River and trek up to Su pan where you will meet the vehicle to transfer back to Sapa. Overnight in Sapa (B, L)


Free on your own to discover Sapa town. Later in the afternoon, ride down Sapa pass to Lao Cai train station. Overnight train back to Ha Noi (B)

Day 10: HA NOI – HA LONG

Arrive in early morning, transfer to the small hotel to rest until getting pick up for Ha Long. Transfer by road approximately four hours to the port of Ha Long.  Hop aboard the traditional wooden junk and unwind over lunch as you glide along the jade green waters dotted with towering karsts. You’ll visit ancient limestone caves, swim in the salty waters and go exploring by kayak. Back on board, enjoy a sunset cocktail and dine on the bays fresh seafood. Overnight on board (B, L, D)

Day 11: HA LONG

Transfer by daily boat to the one of the small beaches scattered among the bay and spend whole day kayaking or swimming in clean water. Having seafood (or BBQ) on the beach. At the end of the day, transfer back to the cruise for dinner. Overnight on boat (B, L, D)

Day 12: HA LONG – HA NOI – HUE (flight)

Wake to the sun peeking over the horizon and see the bay at first light. Watch as vendors paddle their small sampans teeming with goods to the nearby boats and villages. Visit the Surprise Cave with its impressive limestone formations created over generations.  Look for the sacred turtle, the giant Buddha and the frog on the rock! Arrive back into the port around midday for a quick lunch and then return to Ha Noi. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Hue. On arrival, meet our driver and transfer to the hotel. A boat trip on the romantically named Perfume River visits Hue’s best-known religious sites, Thien Mu Pagoda. Then continue to discover Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen’s Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945 including Flag Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, and Forbidden Purple City.

The afternoon continues with a visit to the elaborate tombs of emperors Tu Duc & Khai Dinh. This guided tour gives you a deep understanding about King’s philosophy of geomancy and how this affected royal life. Overnight in Hue (B, L)

Day 14: hue – Cooking class

In the morning, we go to Vi Da Xua Garden café shop and enjoy fully the peaceful moment. Tasting a cup of coffee, listening to the birds singings in the sky or watching the flowers getting in bloom should always be a good idea. Get-on local ferry to Con Hen Island, where we have a chance to discover the local life of people. Visit to Hue’s Dong Ba Market and lesser known Bao Vinh, the older commercial area of Hue.

Have a Lunch at Vuon Y Thao garden house restaurant before heading to Thuy Xuan Hat – Incense making village, you will see how Hue Hat (non Hue) – a symbolized for the beauty of Hue lady. We enjoy the Cooking Class at Tinh Gia Vien – here you can attend a hands-on cooking class, preparation a classic meal of Hue. Ms. Ton Nu Ha – Golden Hands will demonstrate you.

– 1:30 to 3:30 Visit local market in Hue, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local seller and purchase some of ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later.

– 4:00 to 6:30 Starting cooking at Tinh Gia Vien House – Restaurant. Ms. Ton Nu Ha will teach you how cook the Royal Dishes.

– 6:30 onward: Enjoy your meal.

Day 15: HUE – MY SON – HOI AN

After breakfast, Guide and Car will pick up and leave for Hoi An. We will stop along the way to visit the Lang co beach which lies on the most beautiful curve of the “S” where you can be the first to see sunrise in Vietnam. Lang Co beach attracts visitors by its wild beauty with white sand and blue sea. After passing Lang Co beach, we drive 20km on Sea cloud pass (Hai Van Pass) – the highest pass in the country and one of the most scenic hillside roads in Vietnam. Sea cloud pass is the last spur of the Truong Son Range that reaches to the sea, sightseeing in Vietnam is at its best here with the sequel of valleys and lagoons as the road descends lower.

The next stop is Cham museum where displayed the exhibitions of Cham people. The Cham museum in Da Nang has incomparably the best collection anywhere of Cham materials, mostly sculptures. We then have a chance to see China beach – one of the most beautiful and famous beach in Vietnam.

After lunch, we travel about 50km from Hoi An to My Son sanctuary. It comprises many Champa temples, in a valley roughly two kilometers wide, surrounded by two mountain ranges. It was the site of religious ceremony of kings of the Champa dynasty, and was also a burial place of Champa royals and national heroes. The My Son temple complex is one of the foremost temple complexes of Hinduism in South East Asia and is the foremost heritage site of this nature in Vietnam. Though the complex has been destroyed over time, we still see many majestic ancient ruins of temples in the area. We also spend time to visit a silk handicraft village along the Thu Bon River on the way back to Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An (B, L)


Morning walk around this enchanting port town and visit its numerous places of interest: 400 years old Japanese Bridge, 300 years old Chinese temple, 200 years old Vietnamese former merchants’ house, the local fish market … Around the town we can see a numerous art galleries and tailor shops, get some made-to-order clothes if you like. After lunch in local restaurant, you will have a chance to ride a “Xich Lo or pedicab” through the opposite site of Hoi An River bank where you can take a panorama of Hoi An town. Keep on the “Xich Lo” through the tiny lanes of Hoi An countryside, passing the fields of corn, sweet potatoes, beautiful local fruit-garden … Stop over the local fishing village, get on the boat for 2 hours streaming down to Cua Dai estuary to enjoy the sunset cruise on the river. Overnight in Hoi An (B, L)

day 17: HOI AN – FREE Day

Free at your leisure to go shopping or tailoring your clothes. Overnight in Hoi An (B)

day 18: HOI AN – NHA TRANG (flight)

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Nha Trang. On arrival, car picks up and transfers to the hotel. Overnight in Nha Trang (B)

day 19: nha trang – ISLANDS AND SNORKELING

Start from your hotel to Cau Da port. Tri Nguyen Aquarium on Mieu Island is the first place to visit; many sea species of Nha Trang Bay make a small ocean world there. Mun Island is the best island for snorkeling where you can see lots of lives colorful corals and fish. Visit a fishing village and taking a fresh lunch at the island. On the way back you will be able to see caves in which the sea swallows make their nest. Overnight in Nha Trang (B, L)

day 20: Nha trang – free day

Free at your leisure to lay on the beach. Overnight in Nha Trang (B)

day 21: Nha trang – SAI GON (flight)

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Sai Gon. Tour ends (B)
