SAI GON – BEN TRE – CAI BE- VINH LONG – XEO QUYT – CHAU DOC – CAN THO

This 4-day trip offers a glimpse into the agrarian life of the vibrant southern Delta region as we wind our way through the tributaries of the Mekong Delta. We are able to closely observe the daily rituals of river life as well as extremely interesting life along the green villages we pass.

Day 1: Sai gon – Ben tre – Cai be

Morning, pick up at the hotel and drive 02 hours to Ben Tre province. On arrival, take a boat on Ben Tre River – one of tributaries of Mekong River, sightseeing lively activities along river. Stop at local brick kilns to see how to make bricks in handy traditional style. Continue going through palm tree- lined canals and visit one of coconut-processing workshops located along canal. It is a chance to interact with local people to know more about rural life and enjoy some candies, coconut juice. Take a short walk to family workshop where they make traditional mats and enjoy some fruits and tea.

Take a motor cart or cycle riding on shady road, pass by green fields and vegetable plantation and find out about tropical culture from peasants. Lunch at “Coconut riverside “Restaurant with specialties such as: Elephant- ear Fish, spring rolls… After lunch, take rowing boats along water palm creek back to pier and drive to An Binh Island for homestay. Overnight in Cai Be (L)

Day 2: Vinh Long – Xeo Quyt – Chau Doc

In the morning, take a rowing boat to the local market on the bank of the river. Then cross the river to Vinh Long Town. Drive to Xeo Quyt – famous communist base on the low land.  After having lunch, drive to Chau Doc. On arrival, take a rowing boat to visit floating village where you can see local families breading fish underneath their houses. Then we keep going to a Cham-minority village. There you can see women waving their Sarongs. Overnight in Chau Doc (B, L)

Day 3: Chau Doc – Can tho

In the morning, drive up to the mountain to take panorama view of  this area, then visit Tra Su cajuput forest where you can take a boat trip along mangrove trees and lotus flowers. Drive to Can Tho. Check in hotel and free at your leisure. Overnight in Can Tho (B, L)

Day 4: Can tho – Sai gon

We leave the hotel, board a motor boat along the Mighty Mekong River to Cai Rang floating market, the largest of its kind, where a colorful display of boats carrying juicy fruits and vegetables gather for daily exchanging. Then we continue the cruise & walk on a quiet country road to take in the magnificent scenery and get close to the locals as they go about their daily routine. After lunch, drive back to Sai Gon. Cancellation policy

  • No Show  = 100 % charge
  • 1-7days  = 50 % of the tour price
  • 8-14days  = 30 % of the tour price
  • 15-30 days             = 10 % of the tour price
  • 31 days up             = no charge

  • Itinerary is subject to change depending on flight availability, road and/or weather conditions and room availability.
  • Hotels listed above may not meet international star rating standards, especially in the remote areas where accommodation options are limited.
  • Prices are subject to change at any time as a result of VAT, Fuel Excise or other tax increases and USD currency fluctuations.
  • In the event of any cause beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to: Acts of God, Natural Disasters, Acts of War or Terrorism, Strike, Orders or Regulations of the Government etc., Asiana Link will bear no responsibility for not providing travel services, accommodation, meals, laundry, transportation or any other services as agreed between Asiana Link and clients. Party A will, in any case, undertake to do all within its power to assist the clients.
