The lake has an area of some 500 hectares. The great body of water hemmed in between low lying mountains has from time immemorial been home to many kinds of wading birds such as wild ducks and teal. Buon Jun is on the lakeside of Ho Lak. It is the typical commune of the M’Nong, one of the several groups of ethnic minority on the central Highlands. Memory of the visit to the Lak lake would be sticked to Pirogue rowing & Elephant riding on the lake, friendly local minorities, homestay at “Long house” and Tribal Gong show.
In the afternoon, meet the local guide at Buon Ma Thuot and transfer to Lak lake. Visit Jun village, enjoying a ride on Lak lake by dug-out for 1 hour to explore the fishing of local people. Sightseeing around the beautiful lake. Visit M’Lieng village that is located in another shore of the lake. Walking around the village to discover the daily life of ethnic minority in the Central Highlands. Ride elephant for 1 hour. In the evening, there is an option to enjoy Gong music.
O/n at Lak resort.
We have a chance to enjoy a lot of impressive waterfalls in the Central Highlands. The first one we will visit is Dray Sap . Water falls down from high cliff, making the water become mist and look like smoke. In Ede language, “Dray Sap” means “Smoke Waterfall”.
Alike Dray Sap, Dray Nu waterfall is created by Krong Kno river. Water passes down and through steep cliffs, making the waterfall rumbling and majestic.
In the afternoon, we transfer to Don village where is very famous for elephants. Explore the traditional wild elephants catching and taming of M’nong ethnic group. Visit the Ancient wooden house- on- stilts with the architecture belongs to Laotian. Visit the tomb of the King of elephant catchers before take a walk through suspension bamboo bridge.
This evening is spent in bungalow in Ban Don.
There are some interesting things to do this morning. Visit Ethnology Museum where we can see many things come from the daily life of ethnic minorities in Vietnam such as : clothes, cultivated tools, musical instruments… Visit Buon Ma Thuot’s bustling regional market. You can buy some souvenirs before transfering to new destination.
