This half day tour was designed for people who have a short time visiting to Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia Kingdom. The tour offers you a chance to visit city’s most essential landmarks and locations so you can absorb as much of the culture as possible.
● Learn about the history and culture of the city in a few delightful hours
● Visit the famous Wat Phnom relics washed ashore by the river
● Admire the Khmer’s architecture of Royal Palace and National Museum
● Understanding Cambodian Buddhism at Silver Pagoda
● Wat Phnom: Found in 1372, the pagoda was built to house Buddhist relics washed ashore by the river. It stands 27 meters (88.5 ft) above the ground, also the tallest religious structure in the city. Wat Phnom is the central point of Phnom Penh.
● Royal Palace is a complex of buildings which serves as the royal residence of the king of Cambodia. The Kings of Cambodia have occupied it since it was built in the 1860s, with a period of absence when the country came into turmoil during and after the reign of the Khmer Rouge.
● Silver Pagoda is located on the south side of the Royal Palace, also known as Wat Preah Keo or Temple of the Emerald Buddha. The Silver Pagoda is so named for its floor, which is covered with 5 tones of gleaming silver. You can sneak a peek at some of the 5000 tiles near the entrance, but most are covered for protection. Inside is a series of lavish Buddha statues made of precious metals.
● Cambodia National Museum: Built in 1917 it is an exceptional example of traditional architecture and is exclusively devoted to preserving and displaying Khmer art and sculptures. Hundreds of pieces are housed here including both pre-and post-Angkorian pieces.
We complete the tour excursion by taking you back to your hotel. End of services.
