PRV02: Sài Gòn Beyond the Popular Sites(04 Hours)

Overview

Most visitors spend time at the city center, as they don’t have much time for other districts where they might witness the pace of life in the majority of the city. We designed this package in order to bring visitors closer to daily life by visiting Chinese and Vietnamese pagodas, plus some of the bustling markets, and by taking a short cyclo tour to experience the popular public transportation of the old days.

We’ll pick you up at your hotel and head to Chợ Lớn (China Town); your visits will include, in no specific order:
●   Fito Museum, Museum of Traditional Vietnamese Museum and Pharmacy. A unique blend of traditional and modern architecture, the museum includes one ground floor and five upper floors that are home to 18 exhibition rooms. It still preserves 3,000 items dating back to the Stone Age.

●   Giác Lâm Pagoda, built in 1744, one of the oldest pagodas in the city. It still preserves many old Buddha statues that date back to the 18^th It’s also a fantastically atmospheric place set in peaceful, garden-like grounds.

●   Thiên Hậu Temple, built in 1760, a Buddhist temple dedicated to the Chinese sea goddess, Mazu. Mazuism is an incorporation of different aspects and traditions which merged to form a new belief. The exterior is beautifully designed with the traditional curvy roof on which small porcelain figures are standing symbols for themes from Chinese religion and legends.

●   Bình Tây Market, built from 1863 – 1927 by a Chinese businessman named Gouyan (Quách Đàm). Unlike the Bến Thành Market in District 1, this market mainly serves the local population with its extensive range of fresh fruits, vegetables, poultry, meat, and seafood from regions across Việt Nam.

●   One of the highlights is to take a one-hour cyclo tour around some of the bustling markets where Sài Gòn life thrives.

We complete the tour excursion by taking you back to your hotel. End of services.

Amendment and Cancellation Policy

●   Within 24 hours before departure: Guests pay 100%
●   From 24 – 48 hours before departure: Guests pay 50%
●   Prior to 48 hours before departure: Guests pay 20%

●   Please note that timing and itinerary are subject to change without notice. However, we will do everything we reasonably can to make sure everything goes according to plan.

●   We also offer pickup service at other districts with extra fees:

• District 2, 7, 8, 5, 6, 10, 11, Tân Bình: 500,000VND(~22$)/Group/Tour.
• District 9, 12, Thủ Đức, Bình Tân, Tân Phú, Gò Vấp: 1,000,000VND(~43$)/Group/Tour.

●   Children Policy

• From 12 years old up: pay as an adult.
• From 5 – 11 years old: Pay 75%
• Under 5 years old: Free of charge. However, only one under-five free admission per booking. If you have more than two under-five, from the second kid pays 50% each.
