We spend a walking tour around this enchanting port town and visit its numerous places of interest: 400 years old Japanese Bridge, 300 years old Chinese temple, 200 years old Vietnamese former merchants’ house, the local fish market … Around the town we can see a numerous art galleries and tailor shops, get some made-to-order clothes if you like. After lunch in local restaurant, you will have a chance to ride a “Xich Lo or pedicab” through the opposite site of Hoi An River bank where you can take a panorama of Hoi An town. Keep on the “Xich Lo” through the tiny lanes of Hoi An countryside, passing the fields of corn, sweet potatoes, beautiful local fruit-garden … Stop over the local fishing village, get on the boat for 2 hours streaming down to Cua Dai estuary to enjoy the sunset cuise on the river. In the morning , Meet our chef and take a short walking trip through the ancient town to the Market. The market tour will give you an insight not just into the scents and flavor of Vietnamese herbs and spices but also market culture – how to bargain and where to buy your goods. Cooking Classes in the Kitchen: Our chef will talk you through today’s dishes then leading you through each dish, giving you plenty of opportunity to get involved and try your hand at reproducing the flavours. Check out hotel and leave Hoi An for Hue, the former imperial capital of Viet Nam. The scenic route climbs over Hai Van Pass and descends to the wonderfully photogenic fishing village of Lang Co. Arrive Hue at late afternoon . O/N in Hue.
Breakfast at your hotel , take a boat trip on the romantically named Perfume River visits Hue’s best-known religious sites, Thien Mu Pagoda. Then continue to discover Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen sDynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945 including Flag Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, and Forbidden Purple City.
The afternoon continues with a visit to the elaborate tombs of emperors Tu Duc & Khai Dinh. This guided tour gives you a deep understanding about King’s philosophy of geomancy and how this affected royal life. Overnight in Hue.
Depart from Hue for 2 and half hours to Phong Nha Caves. On the way we stop to visit some of the most famous battle-field in Vietnam War, Ben Hai River, Hien Luong Bridge, lying in the Demilitarized Zone of the Vietnam war. Have a lunch at at local restaurant then getting on boat and cruise along the river to Phong Nha Cave. The deeper one penetrates, the more magical are the natural aspects of the caves. After on boat for 700m, a large dry passage is appear, then you can walk to discover the cave for 500m more. Continue our trip to visit Paradise Cave. Return to Hue in the late afternoon. O/N in Hue.
