VTE02: Laos Cuisine Cooking Class in Vientiane(Half Day)

Overview

Spend four hours working alongside local chefs during this popular Laos cooking class in Vientiane. Pick ingredients from the garden and learn about local herbs and produce that go into some of the nation’s most flavorful dishes. Sample your creations and gain a deeper understanding of this cuisine during this memorable, interactive, small-group experience.

Be picked up from your accommodations in the morning and transferred to meet your chef for the day. Then travel by tuk tuk to the local market for a unique tour and a tasting experience so you can learn to pick the right ingredients for your cooking class. Enjoy coffee and a local snack at a family run café away from the tourist trail.

Transfer to a private house overlooking the Mekong River where your cooking class will commence. A welcome drink will be given on arrival. A variety of Lao dishes will be taught and cooked. Lunch will be your own efforts, enjoyed under the shade of the mango tree.

A Lao recipe booklet will be provided at the end of the course to take home. Be transferred back to your hotel at 2:00pm.

Amendment and Cancellation Policy

● Within 2 days before departure: Guests pay 100%
● From 2 – 7 days before departure: Guests pay 50%
● Prior to 8 days before departure: Guests pay 20%

● Please note that timing and itinerary are subject to change without notice. However, we will do everything we reasonably can to make sure everything goes according to plan.

● Children Policy

• From 12 years old up: pay as an adult.
• From 5 – 11 years old: Pay 75%
• Under 5 years old: Free of charge. However, only one under-five free admission per booking. If you have more than two under-five, from the second kid pays 50% each.

● What to bring:

• We suggest a small suitcase or backpack with comfortable clothes and shoes (sport shoes or flip-flops are fine), sunscreen, and mosquito repellent. Larger luggage can be left at your hotel or with us!
